Managing to grow their own food and be self sufficient in the deep forest of Shirakoyama, Yakushima, Sansei Yamao wrote many verses and essays. He died in 2001, but his books are still being read by many people who love his philosophy.
In this video program, Ken’ichiro Mogi, a brain scientist, reads one of Yamao’s masterpieces, “Make The Fire (Hi Wo Takinasai)”.
